Washing tips

Tips on how to wash by hand:
Preparations
• Sort and wash your products by colour (black, white, red and coloured).
• Use lukewarm water and preferably use gentle detergent for fine fabric.
• Always rinse your swimwear with cold water after wearing it. Sunlight, chloride and seawater can cause discolouration.
Washing
• Let your garment soak for a couple of minutes instead of roughly cleaning it. However, do not soak your product too long (especially when washing multicoloured garments).
• Rinse with cold water.
Drying
• If items can be ironed, we advise ironing printed or embellished garments inside out at the lowest temperature (especially garments with beading / Rhine stones/Studs etc.).
• The best way to dry a bra is to have it air-dried by laying your bra flat on a towel with the cups up.
Tips on how to wash using the washing machine
Preparations
• Sort and wash your garments by colour (black, white, red and coloured).
• It is always best to wash placement printed items and items with embellishments (such as sequins stones or hand attached accessories) inside out.
• Does your garment have any accessories? If so, remove these if possible before washing them
• If you wash delicate garments in the washing machine, always use a washing bag
Tip: when washing bras, close the bra hooks to try and prevent the hooks from damaging the fabric of your bra.
Washing
• Preferably use laundry detergent for wool or fine fabric and select a delicate washing cycle.
• Don’t use any fabric softener as this increases the chance of the colours fading.
Drying
• If items can be ironed, we advise ironing printed or embellished garments inside out at the lowest temperature (especially garments with beading/Rhine stones/studs etc.).
• The best way to dry a bra is to have it air-dried by laying your bra flat on a towel with the cups up.
Reducing microfibre shedding
Microfibres, often composed of plastic, are actively shed from synthetic textiles during washing because of water, friction and abrasion, and detergents. Below tips will help you minimize the shedding of microfibres.
• Washing on a gentle, cold cycle
• Use liquid detergent instead of powder
• Do not use fabric softeners.
