Our socks and shirts with cashmere are designed to give you that feeling every day. Because our items are made from a premium modal-cashmere blend, they need a little extra care. But how do you wash cashmere so it stays soft and beautiful? Here are our best tips!

How to wash cashmere?

Good news: you can safely wash our socks and shirts with cashmere in your washing machine. Follow these steps for the best results:

  • Temperature & Program: Always use a maximum of 30°C and choose the wool or delicate cycle. Keep the spin speed low.
  • Protection: Turn your socks or shirt inside out and place them in a laundry bag. This protects them from snags and stretching caused by other items.
  • Detergent: Use a mild detergent, such as wool wash. Avoid bleach.
  • Fabric Softener: Best to skip it! Softener can coat delicate cashmere fibers, reducing breathability and causing pilling.

How to dry cashmere?

Heat and gravity are the enemies of cashmere socks and shirts with cashmere.

  • No tumble drying: Never use a dryer! Heat will damage and shrink the fibers.
  • Flat drying: After washing, gently press out excess water (don’t wring!) and lay items flat on a drying rack or clean towel. This preserves the shape and the natural feel of the fibers.
  • Steam, don’t iron: Avoid ironing. For light wrinkles, gentle steaming is best – keep the steamer at a distance. Steaming restores the natural finish of the fibers.

Wearing & maintenance: finishing touches

Because our bodywear with cashmere is breathable and lightweight, you don’t need to wash it after every wear. Between wears, simply air it out to freshen it up. Also keep in mind:

  • Jewelry: Be careful with jewelry that could snag the delicate fibers.
  • Pilling: Small fuzz balls are natural. If this happens, gently remove them with a special cashmere comb.
  • Folding is better than hanging: To maintain the perfect shape, always fold cashmere items rather than hanging them.
